Itinerary

• Day 1 - Welcome to Catalonia, Spain

  The guide will collect you from Girona Airport or train station and transport you 1 hr 30 minutes to the accommodation in the beautiful countryside of the Pyrenees. You’ll have time to relax, enjoy the views from the hotel and get ready for your first day hiking.

• Day 2 - Alta Garrotxa, Pyrenees

  To start of our hiking holiday will be in the the heart of the Pyrenees in Spain, Alta Garrotxa with it’s stunning landscape of dramatic limestone peaks and deep valleys. This unique ecosystem is home to a variety of rare plants and animals, making it a perfect destination for outdoor enthusiasts. Located in the eastern part of the region, near the French border, it is one of the most picturesque hikes in the area. With its stunning views of the surrounding mountain peaks, the hike offers a peaceful, relaxing environment to anyone who wants to explore the region. The journey will take you through lush green valleys, past colourful wildflowers, and along the edge of a majestic river. It's a great way to get a little closer to nature and take in some of the most beautiful sights in the Pyrenees. The highlight of the hike is a stunning waterfall to jump in and cool off.

• Day 3 - Val de Nuria with Puigmal Peak option

  Located in the breathtaking Pyrenees Mountains of Catalonia, Spain, Vall de Núria is a mountain valley that offers incredible views of the surrounding peaks and valleys. From lush green pastures and old stone farms to snow-capped peaks, this area is an ideal spot for a our 2nd day of hiking. Vall de Núria is also home to the famous Sanctuary of Our Lady of Núria, a major pilgrimage destination. The valley is also home to several beautiful lakes, including the Lake of the Three Valleys, which is a popular spot for swimming and boating.

  The hike up to Vall de Núria is a steady and rewarding climb, with stunning vistas at the top. Along the way, visitors can take in the beauty of the area, enjoying the lush meadows and forests. At the summit, hikers are rewarded with incredible views of the surrounding area.

  We will also have another optional hike, the Puigmal Peak. It is a beautiful mountain located in the Pyrénées region of Spain in the province of Girona. At an elevation of 2,912 m (9,553 ft), it is the highest peak in the province of Girona, offering incredible views of nearby mountains and valleys, as well as of the Mediterranean Sea in the distance.

• Day 4 - Rest and transfer to airport

  This will be the end of your epic holiday in the Pyrenees mountains, where you’ll head back to work the following week with some incredible stories to tell.

Please note the above schedule is only an example and can be customised to suit what you want. For example you could arrive early in the morning on the first day and we would have another days hiking or add additional days days hiking in Pyrenees or combine with the Costa Brava.
