Definitions

  • Company: Jamie Kerr trading as "One Life, Hike It."

  • Customer/Guest/Client/Participant: Any individual engaging with One Life, Hike It for its services.

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully. They govern your relationship with One Life, Hike It and outline mutual rights and obligations.

1. Bookings

  • Availability: Reservations for rooms, bungalows, villas, or refuges are subject to availability.

  • Confirmation: Unpaid or unconfirmed reservations will be canceled after one week.

  • Special Requests: Any optional services (e.g., transportation or meals) must be requested at the time of booking and are binding.

  • Age Restriction: All clients must be at least 18 years old.

2. Health and Physical Fitness

By booking, you confirm that you:

  • Are physically fit and free of conditions that could affect participation in hiking activities.

  • Acknowledge that hiking requires a good fitness level and that physical limitations may impact group dynamics. Consult a doctor if in doubt.

3. Insurance and Travel Documents

Insurance:
We recommend purchasing:

  1. Travel Cancellation Insurance: Covers losses from cancellations due to injury, illness, or other valid reasons (with proof, e.g., a doctor’s note).

  2. Travel Medical Insurance: Covers medical treatment, hospitalization, and transportation expenses. Ensure your policy includes hiking-related accidents.

Travel Documents:
Customers are responsible for securing:

  • A valid passport (minimum 8 months validity).

  • Necessary visas and related documents.

4. Payment Conditions

Early Bird Tiered Payment Plan:

  • Deposit: 20% at booking.

  • Second Payment: 40%, due 4 months before the tour.

  • Final Payment: 40%, due 2 months before the tour.

This plan helps spread costs and ensures timely arrangements.

5. Cancellations and Rebookings

Customer Cancellations:

  • Cancel 60+ days before the tour: 100% refund of paid amounts.

  • Cancel 30–60 days: 50% refund.

  • Cancel <30 days or no-show: No refund.

Rebookings:
Rebookings must be requested at least 60 days before the tour and are subject to availability.

Company Cancellations:
In extraordinary circumstances (e.g., unsafe conditions), One Life, Hike It may cancel the booking. Payments will be refunded, but no additional expenses (e.g., bank fees) will be reimbursed.

6. Risks

Hiking carries inherent risks. By booking, you agree to:

  • Take full responsibility for your physical fitness.

  • Cover medical expenses in case of injury or illness during activities.

  • Indemnify One Life, Hike It against any claims related to accidents or injuries.

7. Disclaimer

Participation is at your own risk. One Life, Hike It is not liable for:

  • Injuries, illnesses, or accidents during activities.

  • Disturbances or injuries caused by animals or natural conditions.

  • Loss or theft of property.

  • Damages caused by customers to property or equipment (costs will be charged to the customer).

Customers must disclose any chronic conditions prior to departure.

8. Data Usage and Protection

  • By participating, you consent to being photographed or filmed during activities. These materials may be used for promotional purposes.

  • Your personal data will be used only for marketing or fulfilling bookings and will not be shared with third parties.

  • You may withdraw consent for data use at any time by contacting us via email.
